When you first get to Australia, you’re expected to prove that you have the skills and know-how to help fill the positions that are being advertised in the area.
You’ll need to get a job, you’ll need a business licence, you will also need to prove you are a good fit for the role.
And, of course, you need to do it all in one go.
The ABC’s resident swap program has created a unique opportunity for people from all over the world.
The program, run by a group of local community organisations, allows people from overseas to come to Australia and apply for work or internships.
For the first time in the program’s history, the program is taking applications from Australians, with a goal of creating over 1000 internships in the next 12 months.
